I have been working in Qatar as a filmmaker for the past 5 years, where I began my career creating commercials for high-profile clients. Through my advertising work, I found a passion for cinematography which drove me to take the route of narrative-independent filmmaking. The human experience is a source of beauty and depth for me, and I use my camera to share it with the world. Most of my previous work includes short films, documentaries, and commercials.

In the past five years, I have partnered with more than 50 businesses and delivered 400 pieces of content, applying my expertise in various domains of media production, such as photography, videography, directing, producing, lighting, sound design, color adjustment, visual effects, and editing. My portfolio mainly consists of commercial work, however, I have also been exploring the narrative potential of moving images recently.

PREVIOUS WORK (NARRATIVE FILMS)

Lehrein is a film produced in 2023 directed by Fatima Ramzan. This experimental film tells the story of Zunaisha, a woman scarred by a series of harrowing assaults. She unfolds her journey of pain as she confronts her past trauma through the waves of emotions and battles she has with her inner demons while embracing personal growth and a voice for change in society. The film had a local premiere recently and is currently touring in different festivals.

PREVIOUS WORK (NARRATIVE FILMS)

El Nagafa (The Chandelier) is a film produced in 2022 directed by Karim Emara. This film tells the story of a whirlwind of chaos and comedic mishaps that envelops Ameen's manic morning as he finds himself caught between familial obligations and an important job interview. Amidst falling chandeliers, shattered vases, and an imposing father-in-law's demands, Ameen's frantic race against time becomes a hilarious exploration of priorities and the unpredictability of life. The film won the Made in Qatar section of Ajyal film festival. It was also selected to New York City Short Comedy Film Festival, Lebanese Independent Film Festival, Make Me Laugh Festival, Boden International Film Festival, and Lit Laughs International Film Festival.

PREVIOUS WORK (NARRATIVE FILMS)

Awal Yom ‘Aza is a film produced in 2023 directed by Jehad Al-Hallaq. This film tells the story of a woman coming back to her mother's first day of funeral, Sarah tries to fulfill her mother's last wish amidst the chaotic nature of the funeral. Sarah finds herself lost trying to find the mystery girl of her mother's dreams while battling her brother's efforts of keeping her in check. The film was selected as part of the MedFilm and Ajyal Film Festivals and is still waiting to hear back from other festivals.
